Isuzu Malaysia Sdn Bhd (IMSB) is a joint venture between DRB-HICOM Berhad (DRB-HICOM), Isuzu Operations (Thailand) Co. Ltd., Thailand (IOT) and Isuzu Motors Asia Limited, Singapore (IMA). Incorporated on 6 September 2004, IMSB is engaged in the business of importation, assembly and distribution of Isuzu motor vehicles, components and parts in Malaysia.

With an authorised capital of RM50 million and paid-up capital of RM20 million, IMSB's strength is backed by its renowned shareholders, DRB-HICOM (49.0%), IOT (32.6%) and IMA (18.4%). A brief information on the shareholders are as follows;

DRB-HICOM is one of the Malaysia's leading automotive groups and has investments in the automotive, property and construction and services sectors.
IMA is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Isuzu Motors Limited, Japan and is principally involved in the planning and control of Isuzu business and distribution for the ASEAN countries.
IOT is owned by Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan (directly and indirectly approximately 77.2%) and IMA (20.3%). IOT owns the sales and distribution rights of the Isuzu pick-up trucks for the domestic Thai market as well as the export market.

IMSB's mission is to acquire a firm position in the Malaysian automotive market through enhancement of the Isuzu's core value and brand image with its exciting and impressive product line-up comprising of pick-up trucks, sport utility vehicles and multi-purpose vehicles.

IMSB aims to bolster the Isuzu's strength, that is, "No.1 in Diesel Engine", "Durability" and "Reliability" which is recognized as Isuzu's core value. In addition, IMSB aims to establish a new image here that Isuzu vehicles are suitable for today's lifestyle by featuring new products and through customer relation activities.

As part of the plans to achieve the above, the Company embarked on the first product launch by introducing the new ISUZU D-Max pick-up to the Malaysian market, with the only 3.0-liter Direct Injection Diesel Turbo Intercooler engine available in the Malaysia's pick-up market.

With emphasis on excellent quality, IMSB takes the highest priority towards customer satisfaction. Under its retention program to keep customers as its life-time customers, IMSB only appoints "3S" dealers who can facilitate Sales, Service and Spare Parts to maintain its best services to all customers.
