Miles Ahead In Fuel Efficiency

The Isuzu D-Max became synonymous with fuel efficiency having been proven not just by customers but also by two fuel-efficiency runs in Peninsular Malaysia as well as in Sabah and Sarawak.

With the arrival of the all-new D-Max, a new challenge was inevitable. The Dura-Miles Challenge 2007 was planned to push existing limits further. What started as a tempting idea became a real driving challenge from Bangkok all the way to KL with only one tank of fuel.

Now, the all-new Isuzu D-Max with i-TEQ Super Commonrail has pushed fuel efficiency to a further 19% improvement in the recent challenge. As sanctioned and witnessed by Automobile Association of Malaysia (AAM), both the 2.5 and 3.0 litre standard production units were driven on their own power without refueling throughout the journey

Both vehicles rose to the challenge and completed 1,501 km despite the heavy traffic in Bangkok and heavy vehicles along the main roads in Thailand.
This remarkable achievement in the Dura-Miles Challenge demonstrated an optimum balance of power and fuel economy. It proved beyond doubt that in any condition even across nations, the all-new Isuzu D-Max is superior in fuel efficiency.
