1) What’s the difference between a 4x2 and 4x4?
4x4 (4WD) refers to a vehicle with four-wheel drive and engine power is transmitted to all four wheels. In a 4x2 (2WD), a two-wheel drive vehicle, engine power is transmitted to only two wheels, usually the rear.

2) How do I decide whether 4X2 or 4X4 suits me better?
Isuzu D-Max 4X2 and 4X4 drive train serve different purposes. D-Max 3.0L 4X4 are meant for drivers who enjoy medium or heavy off-road. D-Max 4X2, both 2.5L & 3.0L, are alternative options for drivers. An ideal model for owners who do not need 4 wheel-drive capability but would like to have the ruggedness and versatility of a pick-up capable of handling light off-road conditions.

3) I don’t see a gear lever to select 4WD or 2WD. How do you switch from 2WD to 4WD mode?
The Isuzu D-Max uses a system known as Touch-On-The-Fly. This means that from speeds up to 100km/h, you can select either 2WD or 4WD High simply by pressing the corresponding button on the dashboard. A light in the instrument panel will confirm whether you are in 4WD mode or not. This safe and convenient feature allows you to switch modes quickly and efficiently according to the road conditions without needing to slow down or stop. To select 4WD Low however, you are required to stop the vehicle, select neutral and then press the 4WD Low button. A light in the instrument panel will confirm that you are in 4WD Low. It is that simple and a unique feature in a pick-up truck of its class.

4) How about Isuzu D-Max 4x4 abilities?
High ground clearance with big approach and departure angles enable the Isuzu D-Max to ride smoothly over most obstacles even in extreme off-road conditions. These superb grade-abilities are complemented by the short-nose design at the front of the D-Max which provides a minimum overhang for easier driving and maneuverability both on and off-road.

5) How often do I need to service my Isuzu D-Max?
For new buyers, Isuzu Malaysia offers 2 Free Service Check-ups at 5,000KM and 10,000KM. The labour cost is free and the owner is only chargeable for lubricants, fluid, spare parts or materials used for maintenance. You can find the details of inspection items in the Warranty Booklet. For Isuzu D-Max 2.5L owners, we recommend that you service your Isuzu D-Max every 5000KM. For 3.0L owners, you are recommended to change your engine oil every 10,000KM, after 1st and 2nd Free Service Check-ups.

6) What is Isuzu D-Max warranty period?
Isuzu D-Max vehicles provide a standard 3 years or 100,000KM warranty whichever comes first warranty period begins from the date of registration of new vehicles and as per terms and conditions stipulated in the Warranty Booklet.
