OWNERS GATHER IN PARK FOR PLANET ISUZU
Taiping, Saturday. Over 100 Isuzu owners congregated in the Taiping Lake Gardens here together with their vehicles to celebrate the formation of Planet Isuzu, the Isuzu owners’ group by CEO of Isuzu Malaysia Takashi Hata.
The owners came from various locations around the country to gather in this historic town for the event, forming the country’s largest gathering of Isuzu D-Max owners in one place ever.
The day was filled with a myriad of activities for the owners and their families including hot air balloon rides, a BMX bicycle performance, ATV rides, inflatable balloons, nature walks, a cheerleading performance and an open-air theatre.
In his address to the owners, Hata acknowledged the support of owners who had put Isuzu D-Max consistently in the top ten bracket of vehicle models being sold in the country. “Our D-Max population has grown to some 15,000 units in just four full years of operation. This is a significant achievement given the short period of time that Isuzu Malaysia has been operating in Malaysia. Our customers acknowledge the strong attributes of the vehicle including its durability and fuel efficiency as the main features that attracted them to the brand,” he said.
With the formation of Planet Isuzu, the company hopes to foster closer relations with owners and ultimately create a positive platform for them to enjoy their vehicles with fellow owners.
As part of the activities planned under Planet Isuzu, owners can look forward to a variety of activities, excursions and competitions such as the Dura-Miles Challenge, a popular fuel efficiency contest created by Isuzu Malaysia to showcase the efficiency prowess of the D-Max.
